ESR – Deputy Home Manager – InvernessSalary: £55k/AnnumESR specialise in hiring top healthcare talent into the private care home sector.   • Support the Home Manager with key targets by promoting and practicing high standards of nursing care, and ensuring staff and shifts are supervised in a smooth manner.
  • Manage the home in the absence of the Home Manager.
  • Assist the Home Manager with the audit process to ensure that the service is compliant with regard to all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Home Manager with ER related matters (e.g. absence management and disciplinary hearings).
  • Overseeing all aspects of medicine management and ensuring the safe administration of medication in accordance with NMC Standards.
  • Ensuring through clinical governance and leadership that the care, health and safety of all residents is effectively implemented.
  • Maintenance of records and paperwork including care plans and medication documentation.
  • Ensure that care quality standards are constantly achieved

Skills and Qualities:

  • You will be a qualified Nurse with a strong clinical background
  • Having strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Be able to handle difficult situation effectively and in a timely manner
  • Proven management experience in a similar role.
  • You will be able to lead and motivate a team working and create a positive working environment.

Essential for the role:

  • Proven management experience at a similar level
  • A clinical background as a registered nurse
  • Established leadership skills to manage large teams
  • Effective multi-tasking and prioritization
  • Strong commercial awareness – care industry preferred but not required
  • You’ll be up to date with current evidence based practice and have a working knowledge of CQC Standards and Regulations and will work using your initiative making effective decisions to improve care quality
  • A Registered Manager with relevant experience in a senior management capacity is desirable
