WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?ACML is actively seeking a Carpenter located in Fort St. John, BC whose main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Measures, cuts, shapes, assembles, and joins materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials;
  • Installs walls, floors, ceilings, and using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials;
  • Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools;
  • Modifies furniture with shelving or cable trays, repairs broken chairs
  • Repairs and patches drywall;
  • Performs maintenance painting, which includes filling, sanding, priming, and calking;
  • Repairs or replaces broken window blinds;
  • Hangs whiteboards, notice boards, pamphlet boards, and artwork;
  • Hangs signs, eyewash stations, paper towel dispensers and other items as required;
  • Attends After Hours carpentry related emergencies
  • Travels and works at other sites
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

  • At least 3-5 years minimum experience as a maintenance carpenter directly related to the operation and maintenance of building systems.
  • A certification in Carpentry is preferred
  • Red Seal certification in BC is an asset.
  • Shall have a valid BC driver’s license.
