Here at innocent, we’re on a mission to make it easier for everyone to get more fruit and veg into their bodies. We started back in 1999 and since then we’ve gone from selling a few smoothies at a music festival to becoming one of Europe’s biggest drinks companies with around 1,000 people (and the B Corp seal of approval).

what you’ll be doing

innocent is the leading chilled healthy drinks brand in Europe, with ambitious expansion plans to nearly double the 1.3bn portions of fruit and veg we delivered in 2023. Key to this ambition is delivering for consumers locally within the triple win of consumers, customers and innocent.

The European Senior Brand manager for Innovation is accountable for the delivery of of the European Vision and Strategy for longer term Innovation This role is also accountable for the development and delivery of key innovation projects that will be executed across multiple markets as agreed within the LRP, working closely with Insight, Future development, Finance and Supply Chain

Key responsibilities include:

  • The delivery of our long horizon innovation agenda – products, new services, commercial models etc
  • Work with insight to understand consumer behaviour and attitude in the context of the spaces that we have identified to innovate within
  • Build proposition in conjunction with FD, Supply chain, Finance and commercial to unlock the opportunities that have been identified 
  • Determine the best launch model eg Mass,Seed, Partnership to launch new propositions to market 
  • Work with external partners to establish future partnerships/royalty models 
  • Inspire the in market teams and broader business behind the vision and plan for innovation and deliver the assets to enable the success of in market teams
  • Track and monitor the performance of long term innovation business cases 
  • Work with local markets to optimise or course correct 
  • Bring external and internal best practices and inspiration to build knowledge in support of delivery of the innovation agenda 
  • Manage external agencies
  • Working closely with cross functional Teams to lead the delivery of innovation projects effectively using the Gate process to deliver these.

you’ll have

  • You’ll need to display solid multi market marketing knowledge including strong business accumen, ideally from a top tier FMCG company
  • Ideally you’ll have international marketing experience and worked on development of new routes to market and systems.
  • The ability to build cross market portfolio strategies
  • You’ll have a proven track record of managing complex projects cross functionally and influencing internal and external stakeholders. 
  • You should have a strong interest in product and packaging innovations as well as an understanding and interest in consumer behaviour and attitudes and the drivers of this
  • You will be comfortable with change, ambiguity and complexity and flexible to adapt plans when necessary
  • You can make good quality reccomendations with clear jobs to be done articulation and impactful narratives
  • You will have strong communication and stakeholder management capability ideally within a matrix structure 
  • You need to be independent and resilient to work in a busy and complex environment, and have the confidence and maturity to engage and influence senior stakeholders. 
  • You will be a confident self-starter with the passion and enthusiasm to get stuck into projects to deliver great business results. 
  • As part of a small team, you will be expected to have a hands-on mentality and willing to work on all things big and small.
  • Located in London. Fluent in English beneficial to speak French or German
