Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
High School Diploma/GED (foreign equivalent or higher). Certified as a Medical Assistant. Three (3) years of full-time medical office experience. Experience with recording patient/client vital signs and conditions.Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Phlebotomy certified. Experience performing spirometry and EKGs.Brief Description of Duties:
The Stony Brook WTC Health Program offers comprehensive, integrative healthcare of 9/11-related illnesses for WTC disaster responders. The successful Medical Assistant will have excellent customer service skills and will treat every patient with care and compassion. This position requires a responsible individual who can commit to being at work on time and who has excellent attendance, as well as an individual with patience who can handle assisting Providers in a busy clinic. Must consider opportunities to develop job knowledge and skills by participating in training and educational opportunities as suggested by supervision.Duties:
