Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant-Family.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required.

This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, located in Norfolk, VA (23507).Responsibilities:A Day in the Life of a Certified Medical Assistant-Family:As a Certified Medical Assistant in a Family Practice clinic, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care while abiding by all HIPAA laws and regulations in an outpatient clinic setting. Your role is instrumental in the assessment process for the clinic visit which includes obtaining vitals, Administer injection of medications or immunizations by approved nursing protocols., observing patients for any reaction to medications, immunizations, treatments, and significant incidents, Preparing exam rooms for patient visits, restocking of the clinical area and exam rooms rooming patient, Sterilize instruments when used and maintain medical equipment documentation in patient charts (EMR), calling in prescriptions to the pharmacy, completing follow-up phone calls to patients, assisting the provider during the patient’s visit, and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This position is in Norfolk 23507.Requirements for the Certified Medical Assistant- Family:

• Required: Maintain current CPR certification and nursing license
• Required: Successful completion of a Medical assistant program (or equivalent military training) and certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA)
• Required: Completion of BLS class and re-certify every 2 years
• Required: COVID vaccination or medical waiver
• Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
• Required: Must be reliable and a quick learner and can multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment
• Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Required: Must have some working knowledge of computers
• Required: Customer service-oriented individual is required

Preferred Qualifications for the Certified Medical Assistant- Family:

• Preferred: Family Practice experience
