Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ***Medical Assistant***.

• Minimum of 1 year experience required.

This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability Monday – Wednesday 8am-8pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8am-4:30pm, two Saturdays a month 8am-12pm. Company is located in Suffolk 23435.Responsibilities :A Day in the life of a/an Medical Assistant:Obtains Patient’s vitals including weight. Assists Medical Provider with prior authorizations for weight loss medication via cover my meds. Assists with medical supply and meal replacements inventory – responsible for daily restock. Assists Medical Provider with exam requirements. Documents procedures conducted, Patient progress notes and any other Patient specific data in the Patient chart within Tebra/Kareo (EMR/EHR System). Conducts Patient calls to include appointment reminders, care calls and progress/Patient concerns. Conducts follow up phone calls via telephone or telehealth platform – transcribe information as a medical note in Tebra/Kareo (EMR/EHR System). Utilizes phone system to answer and appropriately route all incoming calls. Prepares and cleans treatment rooms and medical instruments. Conducts consultations and initial assessments with Patients regarding the medical-weight-loss program. Transcribes Patient health history that includes (medical history, surgery, medications, food and medication allergies & social history). Assists with cleanliness of medical environment.Requirements for the Medical Assistant :

• Required: Minimum 1 year of paid recent experience required
• Required: Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required.
• Required: Current CMA/RMA Certification
• Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
• Required: Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment
• Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
