There is 1.0 WTE full time (37hrs) post.As the successful applicant, you will have extensive experience of working with people with a wide range of mental health problems; have specialist clinical knowledge of best practice in Mental Health Nursing and will be an excellent example to your colleagues in the delivery of holistic person centred care. As a Charge Nurse, you will exhibit strong leadership and management skills, will influence and develop practice and will take forward new initiatives within a busy multi-disciplinary team.The individual we are looking to recruit will be educated to degree level or will be able to evidence comparable experience. Clinically you will work in partnership with people to provide psychosocial and psychological interventions, facilitating, enabling and supporting them within their homes and communities. Within Your Charge Nurse role, you will be responsible for leading and managing day to day work of the Nursing Team and will support Senior Charge Nurse to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred affordable services for people with severe and/or enduring mental health problems.There will be a requirement to provide a supervisory role to members of staff within the nursing team, and to fulfil the CMHS Duty Worker role. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
