Job Description: Chef de PartieLocation: Kilchoan, Highlands, ScotlandJob Type: ContractSalary: £32,000 – £34,000 annuallyJob Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s standards.
• Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared on time and to the chef’s specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking areas.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Manage and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff on menu planning and the development of new dishes.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and maintaining kitchen supplies.
• Participate in food tastings and recipe testing as required.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Experience:

• Experience in a high-volume kitchen or fine-dining establishment is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in menu development and cost management will be advantageous.
• Professional culinary certification or training from a recognized institution.
