If so, we want to talk to you.Grantify is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and scale our technology efforts. This key role will enable us to evolve our cutting-edge AI platform, drive innovation, and achieve our ambitious goal of raising $1B for start-ups by 2028.As our first-ever Technical Leadership hire, you will have the autonomy to build and manage our in-house technical team, transitioning from outsourced services and steering our technological strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be a crucial member of the leadership team, helping us expand our impact and support more business owners through our platform. We need a seasoned professional with a proven track record in leading technical teams, a deep understanding of SaaS environments and the ability to integrate the latest technologies into our product offerings.You will be working to:

  • Provide Technical Leadership: Define and implement the company’s technological vision and strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives. Lead the transition from outsourced technical services to an in-house team, staying at the forefront of generative AI innovations to maintain a competitive advantage
  • Build and Manage the Team: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Focus on ongoing professional development, supported by a 7-figure budget dedicated to the growth and development of our tech team.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Product, Sales, Marketing) to ensure technological capabilities support the overall business strategy. Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, ensuring that our technical solutions meet user needs and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Design and Develop Infrastructure: Establish a scalable and secure technology infrastructure to ensure system reliability and performance. Develop machine learning models to create automated feedback loops, enhancing product features and improving customer experiences.
  • Maintain Security & Compliance: Uphold high standards of security and ensure regulatory compliance across all technological operations.
  • Apply Technical Expertise: Utilise a strong background in software development, architecture, and modern programming languages and frameworks to lead and guide the team. Integrate advancements in generative AI and machine learning into the company’s products.
  • Optimise Processes: Implement efficient development processes, including Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and quality assurance protocols. Continuously seek and incorporate user feedback to refine and optimize our technology solutions.

Ideal Outcomes In Your First 12 Months

  • You will have initiated the transition of technical operations from outsourced to in-house, laying the groundwork for a cohesive and effective internal technical team to be fully established over the next two years.
  • We have developed and implemented a robust technical strategy that aligns with and supports the company’s growth objectives.
  • You helped launch new product features and enhancements that prioritise customer satisfaction and drive business growth, ensuring our customers are at the centre of our design process.
  • Ensured all systems and infrastructure are scalable, secure, and performant.
  • Established a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the technical team.

About You

  • Experience in senior technology roles, preferably within start-ups, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in B2B or B2B2C SaaS environments.
  • You are an experienced CTO. If not, we would also consider your application if you are at the VP or Head of level, provided you have a strong background in working with start-ups.
  • Experience in successfully transitioning teams from outsourced to in-house is particularly valuable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and manage engineering teams, with a keen understanding of the commercial aspects of technology development and deployment.
  • Strong hands-on experience in software development, architecture, and infrastructure, including modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will be UK-based, living in or around London and must have the right to work in the UK.
