As a Child Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing tailored support to children with diverse learning needs. You will assist with classroom activities, encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive environment where students can thrive.Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
- Provide one-on-one or group support to children, helping them engage in learning activities.
- Assist teachers in implementing personalised learning plans based on each child’s specific needs.
- Help manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Monitor the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Support students in developing social and emotional skills, fostering their independence and confidence.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Be experienced working with children in a school or care setting.
- Possess strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents and other professionals.
- Be a patient, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting children’s development.
- Have the ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and calmly.
- Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Commit to promoting inclusion and helping students reach their full potential.
What Do We Want From You: To thrive in these roles, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)
- An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
