Children and Families Worker

PCF Church is a thriving AoG Pentecostal church based in Poynton (Cheshire).  We have an exciting new role and are looking for someone to lead our children’s (aged 0 to 10) ministry and teams.

We have great links with the local community, local churches and have a successful youth group, and are now looking for the right person who has the skills and passion to build on these relationships and lead the children and families work at the church.

The Children & Families Worker will lead, coordinate and develop ministry for 0-10 year olds in both our church locations in Poynton and Handforth (PCF and HCF), so that children know and grow in their relationship with Jesus.  The role is key in supporting families in the task of raising disciples who will make disciples.

This role is a flexible one, fixed 5 hours on a Sunday in church, 3 hours for our in-person bi-weekly team meeting (generally a Thursday) and the remainder of the hours can be worked across Mon – Friday in the office and/or working from home.

Working with the Senior Pastor and Youth Pastor, this role will make the most of your skills, knowledge and experience as you steer a team of very talented volunteers and parents in our children and families work. 

Our ideal candidate will create a plan to take our children’s ministry to new heights. 

The role will involve:

• Providing leadership and being responsible for all child-related activities, including: holiday clubs and parties, schools, community outreach, Sunday groups etc.
• Implementing and continually developing our children strategy
• Overseeing and facilitating pastoral care and discipleship for our families
• Networking with local schools, the Town Councils, and with other local churches and organisations
• Working alongside our Safeguarding Lead to ensure that our Child Protection and Safeguarding policies are continually updated and adhered to.
