Church and Community Mobilisation Coordinator

BMS World Mission is a Christian mission organisation founded in 1792, today we are working in around 30 countries over four continents. We are passionate about making Jesus known across the world and transforming the lives of those we serve. 

CCM seeks to envision churches in integral mission and empower them to reach out to their communities and use their God-given local resources in a sustainable and holistic manner. BMS is currently supporting CCM in six countries in Africa and is working with its partner organisations to scale this up. 
 
This role will support this strategy by coordinating the CCM activities across BMS’ partner organisations, networks and hubs in Africa. As our CCM Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for BMS’ partners in Africa who are implementing CCM.  

The role includes:  

• Supporting partners with CCM strategies, budgets, activity plans and reports 

• Training high quality facilitators 

• Building relationships with CCM stakeholders beyond BMS partners 

• Supporting BMS and Partners to design and embed monitoring and evaluation tools to support the continual improvement of CCM quality and impact 

• Communicating the impact of CCM to BMS supporters and staff 

The successful applicant will be an experienced CCM facilitator and trainer, who has led their church and community through the process. They will also have experience in CCM coordination and strategy, be sympathetic to BMS’ beliefs and values, and be a committed Christian. The nature of this role means that this is a specific occupational requirement. 
 

Location: Africa (Remote /Home working)  

Hours: 35 hrs. per week/full time 

Employment type: Fixed Term (2 years)  

Salary range: The salary will be set at a national equivalent of a UK salary of £25,855 to £30,678 and based on relative national salary levels of the relevant country.
