About this role:

Wells Fargo is looking for a Control Officer to join their Corporate and Investment Banking Control team. This role focuses on supporting the Commercial Real Estate businesses by leading initiatives to mitigate risks and provide strategic guidance. In this role you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks within the CRE businesses.
  • Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area.
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area.
  • Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Real Estate groups to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies.
  • Lead Control Management projects or virtual teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Risk Management, Control Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Commercial Real Estate origination and closing experience.
  • Commercial Real Estate Asset Management experience.
  • Issues Management experience.
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
  • A BS/BA degree or higher.
