Job description

Driver Hire Southampton is looking for Class 1 shunting drivers to join our team on an ad hoc basis at the Southampton docks. If you’re an experienced driver seeking flexible work opportunities, this could be the perfect fit for you.About the Role:

• Position: Class 1 Shunting Driver
• Location: Southampton docks
• Schedule: Monday to Saturday, day shifts only
• Shift Hours: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm (12-hour shifts)
• Contract: Ad hoc basis (0 hours contract) – work as much or as little as you like
• Duties: Shunting containers within the docks; training provided

Requirements:

• Licence: Full and valid Class 1 licence
• Certifications: Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
• Essential: DP World Card
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience, with at least 3 months of container work preferred
• Skills: Strong timekeeping and communication skills
• Transport: Own transport for commuting is desirable
