Job Description:

GDIT / ARMA-Global is seeking a professional, energetic, and reliable Cloud Developer / Engineer to join our Cloud Development Team. Under general supervision, the individual will be responsible for the design of scalable, elastic, highly available, and fault-tolerant architectures within one or more Commercial Cloud Service provider. Identify and implement solutions to support the accreditation of environments to meet compliance requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced understanding of AWS services and deployment models, with expertise in deploying infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation and Amazon CDK.

  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat Linux and system administration tasks.

  • Comfortable interacting with cloud service providers via the command line interface, including the use of AWS CLI.

  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment concepts using automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.

  • Familiarity with Jenkins for automating build and deployment processes.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, with the ability to automate tasks and streamline workflows.

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.

  • Knowledgeable on issue tracking and version control systems like GitHub and GitLab.

  • Proficient in containerization using Docker and deploying containerized applications on EKS for scalable and efficient management.

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaborate on team projects.

  • Understanding of Agile Software Development, with experience in Kanban or Scrum methodologies.

  • Confidence in configuring and maintaining various frameworks and applications.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in a supporting discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience, plus 8 years of progressive IT experience. Of which, at least 2+ years of demonstrable cloud experience (e.g., AWS, MS Azure, etc.)

Certification Requirements

  • DoD 8570 compliant for IAT Level II

  • AWS Associate or Professional Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)

The likely salary range for this position is $110,614 – $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
