As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide essential care and support to patients in their homes in the Omaha Metro area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need of medical assistance.Responsibilities:
– Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
– Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
– Administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse
– Perform basic medical procedures, such as venipuncture and catheterization
– Assist with patient assessments and document observations
– Provide specialized care for patients with specific needs, such as pediatrics or memory care
– Support patients with dementia by providing emotional support and engaging in therapeutic activities
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
– Maintain a clean and safe environment for patientsRequirements:
– Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant
– Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
– Experience working in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting is preferred
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
– Compassionate and empathetic nature towards patients in need of care
