Essential job duties for this CNC Lathe Machinist will include:

• Operates the machine as per the work instructions set forth for a machine operator
• Ability to to set up and run production on Okuma lathes
• Determines the speed to which the metal should be fed into the machine and how much metal should be removed from the work piece
• Selects the tooling and materials necessary to complete the job and determines the sequence of the cutting and finishing operations
• Turn the planned machining operations into a set of instructions which are translated into a computer program containing a set of commands for the machine to follow
• Verifies new programs to ensure that the machinery will function properly and that the output will meet customer specifications

We are looking for CNC Lathe Machinists with the following background:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two to Five years experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing setting
• Technical training at an accredited educational institution or comparable amount of on-the-job training and experience
• Ability to read standard blueprints
• Knowledge of basic shop math skills (read a tape measure, convert fractions to decimals, use of calculator)
