Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Job Description
You will be responsible for operating a horizontal lathe Citizen 5 axis CNC machine. This role requires proficiency in operating and monitoring CNC machines, performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance, and ensuring the quality of products through measurement and inspection.
Responsibilities

Comply with company and departmental safety policies and practices.

Operate and monitor CNC machines and processes.

Provide basic troubleshooting for equipment and processes as necessary.

Perform basic machine maintenance.
-
Verify quality by measurement and inspection of samples.
-
Actively clean and organize equipment and work area to departmental 5S standards.
-
Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating irregularities and resultant actions.

Interface with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production Control to ensure product quality and production goals are met.

Maintain accurate production and equipment operation records.
-
Pick, transport, and exchange materials, supplies, and parts.

Recommend departmental improvements.

Support and foster active participation in, and comply with, corporate values as outlined in the Corporate Values and Expectations Handbook.

Complete on-the-job and specialized training as required.
Essential Skills
-
Proficiency with CNC machine operation.
-
Experience with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauge pins.
-
Previous production machine operating experience with some CNC knowledge.
-
Ability to lift 40lbs.
-
Basic math skills.
-
Proficiency with basic calculators.
-
Ability to read basic drawings to determine appropriate tolerances.

Legible handwriting.
-
Ability to understand and communicate written and verbal instructions.
-
Proficiency in interpreting SPC and equipment processes and initiating appropriate actions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
Experience with Swiss machines, lathes, mills, multi-spindle, live tooling, and Fanuc controls.

Knowledge of offsets, blueprints, GD&T, multi-Swiss, quality inspection, and G & M codes.

Work Environment
The available shifts are: Shift A – Monday-Wednesday (every other Thursday) 5:45am-6:00pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 – $20.72
