We support the RAF through our grants, services, partnerships and properties to ensure personnel can access sports and physical activities at all levels. We deliver integral support to military personnel, RAF Stations and RAF Sport Associations – ultimately, we think everyone regardless of their role, rank, physical ability or competing level should have access to sports facilities, opportunities, equipment and training.About the role:
We are looking for a creative, organised and adaptable individual to support the Fund’s Commercial and Marketing departments. The successful candidate will help to raise the profile of the charity and RAF Sport to best support the Fund’s beneficiaries. This role includes a mix of administrative tasks, stakeholder engagement, content design and creation and social media management. It would suit a creative individual, looking to develop their skill set in a professional environment. The selected candidate will enjoy a hybrid working environment, based at home with occasional visits to the Fund’s office near Marlow, Buckinghamshire and RAF Stations as required.Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and conduct research to support with planning and campaigns as well as new sponsors and partnerships
  • Liaise with Sports Associations to support with their sponsorship deliverables and provide materials to promote their sport
  • Support with the creation of contract templates for sponsorship agreements
  • Maintain the Commercial and Marketing department trackers and databases
  • Monitor social media of the Fund, RAF Sports Associations and sponsors, and, support with content creation
  • Represent the Fund at meetings and events, helping to raise stakeholder and beneficiary awareness and promote the RAF Sports Lottery, the primary fundraiser
  • Assist with the marketing of the Fund and RAF Sport, including content creation, social media, testimonial curation and organisation of marketing materials
  • Ensure brand guidelines are consistently implemented in commercial and marketing materials and across the Fund
  • Assist with copywriting, proof-reading, design and production of marketing materials
  • Work with the finance team on invoice requests and monitor payment dates, chasing payment when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant legislation across all aspects of the department.
  • Other duties as may be reasonably required.

Knowledge, experience and skills:
Essential

  • Professional experience of building solid relationships quickly and effectively
  • Experience in administration, social media, content creation and design
  • An articulate, confident individual
  • Familiar with CRMs and content management systems such as WordPress and email marketing software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to draft content for a range of audiences
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Full UK driving licence

Preferred

  • Preferred experience of working within a marketing or commercial environment
  • Knowledge of analytic tools such as Google Analytics
  • A problem-solving approach to tasks and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Able to travel occasionally (UK)
