The Commercial Product Procurement Specialist is tasked with procuring destination-appropriate commercial drug products for global clinical trials. Through managing procurement activities related to various commercial drug products, including comparators and rescue medications, the post holder must adhere to cGMP guidelines, maintain Almac specifications for purchased items, and coordinate closely with internal customers and external clients to facilitate smooth product delivery within storage and transport conditions. Developing relationships with suppliers, implementing purchasing strategies, and liaising with clients on sourcing activities are key aspects of this role to maximize drug availability while balancing cost and risk.In addition to procurement tasks, the post holder is responsible for supplier relationship management, including introducing and managing Term Agreements (TAs) and Master Price Agreements (MPAs) to ensure supplier performance aligns with established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality requirements. Proactive communication with suppliers, capturing performance metrics, and conducting regular supplier business review meetings are essential for maintaining a robust supply base and optimizing service levels. By maintaining a knowledge database for global commercial product supply opportunities and challenges, recording sourcing and supply data, and collaborating with Quality, Logistics Services, and Depot teams on regulatory issues, the post holder contributes to the development of an efficient and cost-effective supply chain networkKey Requirements· Have eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time employment in the UK· HNC/HND level qualification (or equivalent) OR Significant relevant experience working in a pharmaceutical role.· Previous procurement experience within a Manufacturing / Production environment.Apply NowApply online and tailor your CV to outline how you meet the role criteria.
