We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Projects Associate to join our London office as part of our Drone Services team.We have built a large pipeline of opportunities across industries and geographies and are preparing to commence operations. We do not manufacture drones; we operate them for the benefit of our customers. We are looking for someone to help execute on these opportunities.You will coordinate the execution of several company projects with a special focus on the UK market. You will also have the opportunity to support our business development team, helping scale Skyports’ presence around the world in our target geographies.This is an ideal role for commercially minded graduates or professionals with 1-2 years of work experience. As a fast-growing start-up, we offer considerable room for personal initiatives and scope to rapidly progress your career.We operate in a nascent and growing industry with no clear roadmap on how to do things – you will often be working in an ambiguous environment where it is not clear how to create commercial value. Some of the things you do will be very successful and some will fail – this is fine, and we celebrate failures and success equally.Our projects are complex, requiring careful management of internal resource and external suppliers across technology, regulation, and operations. Our projects are rapidly developing and changing. You must be comfortable with change and adapting priorities at short notice. This is not a “set and monitor” projects role that you may expect to find at a large corporate.You will join a small, highly motivated team in a dynamic company. You will be expected to own your responsibilities and make the role your own. We are looking for people who can demonstrate initiative, creativity, problem solving abilities, attention to detail and an amazing ability to achieve results.Role and ResponsibilitiesOversee the execution of several Skyports projects. This includes:

  • Tracking work packages and coordinating various internal and external stakeholders
  • Tracking project budgeting
  • Building and maintaining collaborative project management plans
  • Supporting with administrative project tasks
  • Executing on projects, including report writing and performing analysis
  • Traveling at short notice if required

There will also be scope to support business development efforts, including:

  • Preparation of grant-funding applications and business development material/collateral
  • Maintaining relationships with potential customers/partners
  • Monitoring industry developments for opportunity identification

Requirements

  • You are a university graduate with an outstanding academic track record, experience shaping/managing projects, and demonstrable commercial acumen
  • You have experience working in a technical business environment

OR

  • You have 1-2 years of experience in project management, growth, business development, strategy or consulting, preferably in a technical setting
  • Experience working in emerging and ambiguous project management environments
  • Experience of working on complex, rapidly developing projects with multiple stakeholders
