Community Partnership Activities Co-ordinator

We are looking for a Community Partnership Activities Coordinator to join our NWS team on a 12 Month FTC or Secondment!

As a CP Activities Coordinator, you will provide support to enable the Theddlethorpe Community Partnership (CP) to function effectively and its programme of activities (PoA) run efficiently and smoothly.

The CPs role is to develop positive local relationships with communities that engage with the Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) siting process. 

In March 2024, the CP agreed its outline Programme of Activities (PoA), with the following four workstreams:

  • Communications and Engagement
  • Community Investment Funding
  • Vision
  • Operations and Governance

Working as part of a CP Team, this role will help to co-ordinate, facilitate and support a range of CP Member activities such as events, meetings and visits.

Please note this role is a Home working contract with regular travel required to Mablethorpe and surrounding areas

Job Description

Activities will include, but not exclusively:

  • Working closely with CP Team, including CP Assistant to ensure smooth running and co-ordination of activities. Supporting the CP Operations and Performance Manager to deliver NWS day-to-day approach to Community Partnerships in the Lincolnshire GDF search area
  • Play a key role in the planning and delivery of CP meetings and its PoA such as public events, meetings and activities
  • Provide support to meet the needs of the members of the Community Partnerships. This could include stakeholders from community, government, business and voluntary sectors as well as those directly contracted to support the groups e.g. Chair and Secretariat.
  • Where required liaise with and support key external stakeholders such as government, regulator or supply chain representatives
  • Update and maintain reporting systems in respect of PoA activities e.g. OHSENS, CRM
  • Support CP Operations and Performance Manager with the management of the deliverables and contracts with the supply chain. e.g. processing purchase orders, receiving monthly reports or co-ordinating liaison meetings

To support successful delivery of the PoA, you will be required to liaise on behalf of the CP and CP Operational Team with Community Partnership members, NWS partners, and other external organisations and people appropriate to your allocated tasks.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in a administrative or events management role. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload
  • Experience/knowledge of planning outreach activities
  • Experience of managing public meetings/events
  • Experience/knowledge of partnership working
  • Understanding how to deal appropriately with external stakeholders
  • Good communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Self-motivated and with high personal resilience
  • Knowledge of the Mablethorpe and surrounding areas

Desirable

  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Experience of using a variety of communication channels, including social media
  • Able to analyse, use and effectively present relevant data and insights
  • Knowledge of government programmes/projects
  • Awareness of local area issues/politics
  • Broad IT experience (e.g. use of customer management systems or contact centres)
