The role contributes to a strong compliance and risk management culture within ivari’s sales distribution area.You will…

  • Develop and deliver compliant best practices to advisors, distributors and the ivari sales team, both in person, by webinar and self-study
  • Provide support to advisors and distributors through audits and/or investigations including post-audit follow-ups/supervision
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure risks are identified, mitigated, monitored and reported on an ongoing basis
  • Keep abreast of regulatory, key compliance and Fair Treatment of Consumers changes
  • Participate in industry regulatory committees and working groups
  • Conduct external presentations

What we are looking for…

  • An undergraduate degree, equivalent post-secondary education or an acceptable combination of relevant experience, education and/or training
  • Fluently bilingual (English and French) both verbal and written is required
  • LLQP, CFP or IFIC/IFSE certification would be an asset
  • 5-7 years business experience in the insurance and/or compliance industry
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in conducting compliance reviews/audits, evaluating controls within financial services industry
  • Some travel required to conduct external presentations
  • Knowledge of compliance testing methodologies and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to understand Canadian laws, regulations, internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Industry courses would be an asset
  • Knowledge or experience in financial services (distributor/advisor) auditing would be an asset
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills
