Are you ready to join the Fearless?Job DescriptionThe Content & Social Media Executive works within the in-house Marketing team and reports into the Senior Marketing Manager. This role is responsible for creating and curating all written brand content – delivering captivating stories and charming copy across all digital, print and social channels.
- Develop a tone of voice guide to sit within the brand’s guidelines and ensure this tone of voice is heard clearly across all content produced and published
- Produce engaging copy for both online and offline channels – including, but not limited to, our website, blog, email, social media, press releases, print collateral, video and internal communications
- Create, curate and schedule the organic social media calendar in line with sofa.com’s content strategy – increasing awareness and engagement, as well as contributing to the customer journey and, therefore, customer acquisition
- Daily management of social media channels – responding to every comment and review in the brand’s tone of voice and directing any questions, proposals or complaints onto the relevant department in a timely manner
- Review and edit any existing written content, providing a re-fresh and consistency across all our touch points
- Work closely with our internal SEO specialist to continuously optimise content across our website, blog and supporting SEO outreach campaigns
- Find stories and angles to our collections and our brand that engage, intrigue and delight our current audience and keep them coming back, while also bringing in new audiences
- Support in developing sofa.com’s content calendar – actively participating and contributing to seasonal and campaign ideas
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Communications / Journalism / English or related disciplines
- Offers 1-2 years relevant experience, with exposure in copywriting/ content production in commercial and editorial roles
- Displays excellent copywriting skills and is detail-orientated, with immaculate grammar and spelling
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
- Demonstrates a customer-orientated approach
- Interest in the home furnishing and interior design industry
- Editorial mind-set that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to effectively build this into a content plan/strategy
- Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office and WordPress, as well as social media management platforms such as Sprout Social
- Excellent research skills
- Organisation skills with an aptitude for managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Positive, proactive attitude with the skills to work both effectively in a team, as well as independently
- Can be flexible, open to changing priorities and adjust to varying deadlines accordingly – reacting to the short deadlines that occur on a weekly basis, whilst effectively managing longer deadlines for wider marketing initiatives
- Has a great eye for beautiful imagery, enjoys mood-boarding and following influential Instagram accounts
