Controls Technician

A long standing manufacturer of mozzarella and lactose is looking for a Controls Technician to join their close-knit team. In this role you will be responsible for assisting the controls supervisor in the selection, programming, documentation, and knowledge of all plant industrial controls.

Controls Technician Responsibilities: 

• Troubleshoot and repair control issues (troubleshoot VFDs and motors) 

• Perform PLC program change requests and modify existing PLC programs as needed 

• Perform preventative maintenance to optimize equipment reliability 

• Follow up on control work completed by maintenance technicians and assist in troubleshooting of control instrumentation equipment problems 

• Train end-users and maintenance personnel on new controls designs  

Schedule: 

• Night Shift: 4:30pm-5:00am  

• 2,2,3 schedule  

• 36-hour week / 48-hour week – have weekends off for half the year!   

Controls Technician Requirements: 

• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting PLCs, motors, drives and process controls in a manufacturing environment  

• Strong mechanical aptitude  

• Experience with Allen Bradley preferred  

• Experience with instrumentation devices 

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team 

Compensation: $35-$42/hour (+$1.25 night shift differential)
