The role works closely with the broader communications community globally and in EMEA to develop and implement and measure external communications programmes for the region that:Promote JLL as an industry thought leader around our top strategic growth and brand priorities, including sustainability, future of work / spaces, technology and AI, and investment in real estate (in partnership with the EMEA Capital Markets Communications Manager).Provide executive communications counsel and support, developing and leading strategic communications programs within the region for the Work Dynamics and Markets Advisory business (e.g. key growth priorities like sustainability, data centres and life sciences)Manage reputational risk in traditional and social media and in support of client teamsEnhance the efficiency and efficacy of the corporate communications function through development of standard processes and templates and by adopting a data-driven approach to communications decisionsLead regional implementation of global corporate communications programs and thought leadership reportsManage the relationship with the PR agency of choiceThe EMEA PR lead oversees external communications efforts while partnering closely with the broader communications team in the region and globally. Close partnerships with regional executive leadership, APAC and North America corporate communications team members and broader global counterparts; EMEA Markets Advisory, Work Dynamics, Capital Markets and other stakeholders will be essential to success.This position reports to the Global Head of External Communications.ResponsibilitiesDesign and drive communications programs for the EMEA region that promote our corporate performance, growth priorities and expertiseDevelop relationships and provide strategic communications counsel, acting as a trusted advisor to key contacts for Work Dynamics and Markets Advisory business linesCollaborate with Capital markets PR leadsDrive effective external communications activity by creating consistent and compelling messaging, media relations activity, and advising on social media strategyBe the main communications integrator across the EMEA communications network, by hosting monthly meetings for communications leaders to exchange information, best practice and successes.Represent the EMEA communications team on the EMEA Research Insights SteercoWork in close partnership with the internal communications and marketing teams to promote relevant external communications internally and identify internal opportunities to amplify externally.Lead the development of high quality, engaging and original (multimedia) content to promote the company across a variety of platforms (print, broadcast and digital), with the overall aim of raising JLL’s profile particularly amongst ‘new’ audiences*, driving engagement and ultimately supporting lead generation and business line sales and marketing initiatives.Lead proactive and reactive communications surrounding JLL’s reputation in the region; this includes leading crisis/issues management, advising Markets Advisory and Work Dynamics leadership on how to plan for and respond to adverse public scrutiny in real time, and collaborating with global crisis leads as neededDevelop and manage issues/crisis situations in the EMEA region, both at a corporate level and by partnering with PR to provide guidance to business lines and local marketsManage productive relationships with stakeholders and internal partners to the business (such as marketing, research, internal communications, brand, digital, etc.) at regional, national, and global levelsLead implementation of support for global corporate communications initiatives within the regionRecommend and help implement process or organizational enhancements, as appropriate, to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of communications activitiesThis role is responsible for managing external PR agenciesOversee the development and delivery of the quarterly EMEA media performance reportRequired skills include, but are not limited to:10+ years of experience in communications and/or marketing roles, preferably with previous professional experience with internal, external, executive, and crisis communications work in a large organization with a diverse workforce; professional experience leading communications efforts around topics like sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and purpose are a plusInternal, executive and external B2B communications leadership and strategic thinkingProven understanding of how to develop and lead communications efforts that influence and drive brand positioningStrong organization skills and the ability to develop and drive process implementationPeople management and development skillsDeep proactive and reactive experience with issues, crisis and reputation management for B2B and B2C issues, including serving as an on-the-record spokesperson and counseling executives on approach and responsesProven ability to cultivate trust and advise leadership-level stakeholders on confidential mattersAbility to calmly solve problems and guide responses in high-pressure situationsStrength in writing and message developmentExperience working with business media and targeted trade press; experience in counseling spokespersons for broadcast appearancesDemonstrated leadership skills, initiative, and creativityDemonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple efforts simultaneouslyExperience working in heavily matrixed environments, leading by influence, managing change, and achieving results in a collaborative work environmentExperience training and developing others’ communications skills, with or without formal authorityExpertise in influencing business strategies and aligning communications with commercial objectivesLocation:On-site –London, GBRIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t meet all the requirements.
