- Plan and develop menus to meet Compass Group Canada and Levy’s guidelines, ensuring the highest food quality standards and cost controls.
- Identify and lead the development of concepts and culinary teams for new location openings and major event activations.
- Act as a lead and a liaison between our in-unit Chefs, our Regional Executive Chefs, our VP of Culinary and Guest Experience, our Director of Culinary, and yourself.
- Establish cadence around reporting and governance for menus and operational reviews.
- Support Account Managers and Buyers on purchasing and distribution-related issues.
- Support new unit openings and implementation to ensure the new account is set up with Compass purchasing compliance, inventory and production process’.
- Assist with quality assurance product safety audits.
- Lead culinary presentations during the RFP process with potential new clients, and existing clients.
- Travel when required to support new business proposals, new openings, events (which require weekend and holiday work occasionally)
- Be an advocate for the training and adoption of our proprietary product management system.
- Have an in-depth understanding of our procurement channels and responsibilities to it.
- Ability to travel inter-provincially up to 80% of the week.
- Responsible for the continued teaching and upholding of the Levy Canada brand across the sector

- Willingness to travel up to 80% of the week and 75% of the event calendar.
- Post-secondary education; Culinary Designation or Culinary Arts Diploma.
- 7+ years of experience in the food service industry.
- Interprovincial Red Seal Certification is required.
- Experience in all aspects of food service operations and environments.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience, working with and leading teams.
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
- Ability to manage personal and work schedules while delivering upon deadlines established by your leadership team.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures (high-heat kitchen and extreme cold freezer) when required.
- Ability to work collaboratively on a large team efficiently in high-stress situations.
- Ability to work on your own and deliver upon deadlines.
- Can work on your feet for often longer hours during events, demos and prep days.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Word
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional cost control management, and understanding of food costings and labour costing.
