The Opportunity:The Courier Experience Associate is the guardian of the independent courier experience and an advocate for couriers throughout their lifecycle with Skip. You will be responsible for overseeing the courier merchandise program, courier compliance programs, developing and implementing the courier engagement strategy, and be the expert on courier sentiment for Canada.You will be able to put yourself in the mind of an independent courier to identify challenges, ideas and proactively suggest improvements. You will use your deep understanding of couriers to design programs that will resonate with their needs and be able to improve safety & compliance in an effective way. At the same time, you will be the champion for ensuring couriers have the ability to complete deliveries safely and compliantly.What’s On Your Plate:

  • Own the courier engagement strategy and implement programs to improve retention and satisfaction, including courier challenges, gamification, perks, benefits, etc.
  • E2E accountability for Skip-branded courier merchandise (predominantly but not limited to thermal bags) including procurement, customer ordering, fulfillment, and inventory level management. Define the courier merchandise strategy and own the P&L.
  • Define and implement courier compliance programs for regulated verticals such as alcohol. Work with cross-functional partners to execute these programs successfully.
  • Coordination of courier health & safety programs, such as incidence reporting & follow ups. Partner with global SMEs to assess and implement best practices.
  • Influence courier marketing partners to deliver acquisition, engagement and retention objectives through courier outreach and communications.
  • Be the expert on courier sentiment by participating in community monitoring and work shadowing. Understand and advocate for quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Partner with global SMEs to assess and implement innovation and best practices
  • Partner with local legal and compliance teams to understand the broader business landscape, and ultimately balance risk with reward to make informed decisions.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • High preference for direct experience with independent contractor models
  • Experience working with on-demand delivery or supply chain is an asset
  • Experience in managing procurement, contracts, budget and/or a P&L
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or suitable experience.
