Look no further – GSL Education are currently hiring dedicated individuals to join a local school based in Blandford as Cover Teacher immediately.About the School:The school supports students who have been excluded from mainstream education, which could be for a variety of reasons, such as – behaviour, emotional dysregulation etc. The school therefore emphasises the importance of collaboration between staff, students, parents, and management for success. The school also collaborates closely with the Dorset SEND team to swiftly identify and support pupil needs. Staff undergo regular training and updates on behaviour support strategies from various professionals and agencies. Special Educational Needs and Disability strategies are meticulously planned and monitored to ensure optimal outcomes for all pupils, irrespective of SEND status.About the Role:As a Cover Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining continuity and fostering a positive learning environment. Embrace the versatility of being a Cover Teacher and contribute to the educational journey of young minds in Blandford.Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons to mixed-age groups, ensuring all students make progress.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour and promote a focus on learning.
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure students’ academic and personal development.
• Provide feedback to students on their work and progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in teaching is preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to teach across a variety of subjects and year groups.
• A flexible, proactive approach to teaching and supporting students.
• Excellent communication skills.
