Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role is largely focused on managing customer interactions, processing and updating service orders, and maintaining detailed customer records.

Responsibilities:

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve them efficiently and professionally.

• Process customer credit applications and ensure all data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Maintain and update customer records in a timely manner.

• Work closely with builders and customers to create sales orders for service and/or installation.

• Schedule services and installations as per the customer’s requirements and company’s availability.

• Update orders into Service Works diligently to ensure all data is current and accurate.

• Perform clerical tasks including answering and screening telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate person, and resolving calls such as orders and quotes.

• Assist in inventory control including cycle counts, daily review of inventory levels, scrap processing and loss prevention as needed.

• Coordinate and monitor completion of daily customer shipments.

• Use Microsoft Excel and other web portals to manage and update customer information.

• Receive credit card payments and transactions as needed, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and securely.

• Respond to customer requests for information about order tracking, order expediting, and product availability.

Requirements • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the wholesale distribution industry

• Proficient in handling inbound and outbound calls, providing excellent customer service

• Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

• Skilled in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong written communication skills, particularly in email correspondence

• Familiarity with order entry process and procedures

• Proven ability to schedule appointments effectively and efficiently

• Experience in generating customer invoices and quotes

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volume calls

• A positive attitude and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
