Customer Service Representative in Elk Grove Village, Illinois

Description We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management industry based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and involves dealing with customer inquiries, maintaining customer records, and managing customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person, ensuring efficient and satisfactory resolution

• Accurately enter customer data and maintain customer records

• Collaborate with other departments to handle customer disputes and seek solutions

• Record customer interview information into the system for reference

• Process service requests such as installation, discontinuance, or change in service, ensuring accuracy of contract forms and charges

• Effectively manage customer accounts, monitor for any issues and take appropriate action

• Handle customer payments and bank deposits, as well as general office duties

• Address complaints related to billing or service rendered, directing service failure complaints to the relevant departments for investigation

• Foster positive customer relations by delivering services in a manner that promotes goodwill

• Assist in the sale of new or additional services as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls and managing inbound/outbound calls

• Experience in a call center customer service role

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering high-quality service

• Ability to efficiently perform data entry tasks

• Experience with email correspondence and ability to communicate effectively through written communication

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Experience in order entry and ability to accurately process orders

• Ability to schedule appointments and manage a busy schedule

• Previous experience in the waste, refuse, and environmental waste management industry is a plus

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment

• Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet

• High attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
