Customer Service Representative in Greenville, South Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the water industry located in Greenville, South Carolina. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be dealing with customer interactions, resolving complaints, handling cash-related tasks, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers through various channels such as telephone, email, and in person, ensuring professional, prompt, and courteous communication.

• Address and resolve customer complaints, determining the validity and the necessary corrective action.

• Perform routine cashiering tasks, including processing payments, posting payments to accounts, and updating account information.

• Develop a strong rapport with customers, greeting them by name and demonstrating responsibility for their accounts.

• Research customer accounts, identify necessary adjustments according to established rules and procedures, and notify customers of payment discrepancies or deposits due.

• Ensure timely follow-up with customers when necessary, adhering to the committed timeframe.

• Record a brief overview of all customer interactions for future reference.

• Utilize computer data entry skills to maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Professionally answer and assist customers with their inquiries via inbound calls.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in customer service roles, ideally within the water industry.

• Proficiency in handling inbound calls and addressing customer queries effectively.

• Ability to professionally answer customer’s questions and concerns.

• Proven ability to assist customers with their needs, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

• Proficiency in computer data entry to maintain and update customer details and service records.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.

• Proficiency in using customer service software and CRM platforms.

• Familiarity with the water industry standards and regulations would be advantageous.

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification. Higher degree would be a plus.

• Willingness to undergo any necessary training or professional development.
