Customer Service Representative in San Rafael, California

Description

We are in search of a Customer Service Representative to become a part of our team. This role is based in San Rafael, California, and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in managing customer interactions, processing orders, and ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing their needs and resolving their concerns effectively

• Keep track of and manage inventory to ensure product availability and inform customers about any stock shortages or delivery delays

• Accurately and efficiently process customer orders and update all relevant information in the system

• Handle customer complaints in a professional manner, providing suitable solutions and alternatives within a reasonable time frame

• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when dealing with customers, responding to their inquiries promptly

• Keep accurate records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, and complete necessary paperwork

• Work closely with internal teams, such as sales and logistics, to enhance the overall customer experience

• Stay informed about new products, services, and policies to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers

• Answer inbound calls and manage email correspondence with customers

• Use ERP Dynamic NAV to plan and execute resource allocation

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service role, preferably in the retail or furniture industry

• Proficiency in handling inbound and outbound calls

• Experience in a call center environment

• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues efficiently and effectively

• Proficient in data entry tasks

• Ability to handle email correspondence professionally

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Experience in order entry processes

• Ability to schedule appointments effectively

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills.
