CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATOR / TRAINEE CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATORAre you someone looking to start or continue your career as an administrator within our customs department, where you will be given full in-house/on the job training?On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a leading UK ship supply company based in Avonmouth (non-hybrid) , where you will play a key role within the company.No experience necessary but would be an advantage.About the Role:

  • Submitting customs declarations using the Customs Declaration System (CDS) for importing and exporting goods
  • NCTS declarations
  • Liaising with Port Health when necessary
  • Upkeep of all records/documentation

The Person:

  • Any knowledge of CDS (Import & Export) and IPAFFS declarations would be an advantage but not essential
  • Familiarity with bonded warehouse procedures would be an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High Interpersonal skills
  • IT literate
  • Ability to cope under pressure and adapt to changing situations
  • Able to work both well in a team as well as working on own initiative
