You will be a critical part of the team, directly supporting the development of our Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared future to ensure we are robust to emerging security threats, as well as supporting upcoming legislation and standards such as UNECE.R155 and ISO21434.The team provides Cyber Security expertise and leadership in a range of areas relating to JLR vehicles as well as supporting infrastructure, and forms part of the Electrical and Vehicle Engineering department (EVE) within JLR’s product engineering function.In this role, You will develop and improve our internal Vehicle Cyber Security technical standards, development practices, and associated tools, as part of our UNECE R155 compliance activitiesKey Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Development and continuous improvement of JLR internal vehicle cyber security technical standards, development practices and associated controls.
  • Provide training and support to engineers and other end users, as part of a Cyber security chapter, including the development of training material and how-to-guides, and supporting end users in the implementation and compliance of the standards to help drive a cyber security culture within JLR.
  • Development of supporting tools, including supporting the implementation of test cases via CI/CD pipeline.
  • Requirements authoring and test case design.
  • Monitor external trends and best practices, enabling continuous improvement of internal technical standards and ways of working.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Practical experience in the development and application of cyber security development practices and controls, in an embedded environment
  • Understanding of the use of process, methods and tools development in a structured environment (QMS, CSMS, ISMS etc).
  • A demonstrable knowledge of high integrity systems, and secure software and / or hardware design principles, in an embedded environment.
  • Qualification in cyber security or equivalent experience
