About the role.

You’ll be the sole data person within our team, which means you’ll play a hybrid role that blends analytics, product insights, and lightweight data engineering. Your impact is crucial for shaping product adoption, growth, and operational efficiency.

Here’s how the role breaks down:

• Product & Growth Analytics: track user activation, retention, expansion, and churn. Define and monitor North Star Metrics. Support experimentation.
• User & Feature Analysis: analyze feature adoption and spot friction points. Provide insights on power users, feature stickiness, and drop-off rates. Guide roadmap decisions.
• Revenue & GTM Insights: provide insights on user cohorts and behaviors. Identify upsell opportunities and funnel optimization. Define and monitor key metrics (e.g.: customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV)).
• Data Infrastructure & Tooling: maintain basic data pipelines, ensure data is clean and accessible, build dashboards, and improve tracking.
• Cross-Team Collaboration & Enablement: enable teams to make better decisions by providing insights and dashboards. Drive a data-driven culture and empower teams
• Our Data Stack: Metabase, Redshift, dbt, Airflow, AWS

About you.

• SQL expert – You master SQL for analytics.
• Product & user insights – You understand how users interact with a product and can spot trends in adoption and engagement.
• Business-minded – You leverage your understanding of SaaS fundamentals and unit economics to drive product and business insights. Ideally, you have prior experience (4-5 years) in a similar role within a SaaS startup/scale-up.
• Impact-driven – You go beyond reporting to uncover insights that drive growth. You treat data as a strategic asset and take responsibility for making it accessible & actionable.
• Problem-solver – You dig into the “why” and identify opportunities for improvement
• Strong communicator – You work well in cross-functional teams. Whether it’s with product, engineering, or GTM teams, you translate data into actionable and clear insights for the team.
• Adaptable & autonomous – You are used to operating independently, structuring work, setting priorities, and owning tasks while communicating progress and challenges transparently.
• Fluent in English. You have good communication skills enabling you to share learnings clearly with the team

Here’s our hiring process for this role:

1. 30-minute intro call with Morgane to make sure our expectations are aligned.
2. 45-minute deep dive call with Simo to cover role specifics and, day-to-day life.
3. A 45-minute video call with Jean-Yves to discuss around our approach and vision and make sure there’s alignment here as well.
4. A fully remote exercise to assess your approach alongside your analysis thinking and your strategic thinking. Followed by a 60-minute video call to discuss the exercise with Simo, Julien and María Alejandra
