Our product is one that touches the average consumer on a regular basis, and makes the financial world go ‘round.About the team:The role of the Global Technology Operations (GTO) Facilities and Datacenter Operations Team is to provide FIS and its clients a technology operating environment that is resilient, efficient and risk averse while meeting all required regulatory and compliance requirements. This includes the maintenance and management of facility infrastructure (UPS, Generators, Cooling), efficient and cost effective technology hosting activities (rack/stack/cabling) and a highly secure operating environment.What you will be doing:Maintain and plan IT hardware on multiple platforms in critical data center facilitiesPlan data center/raised floor space utilization for data processing equipment in critical data center facilitiesManage projects to move and install new equipment for new clients, move equipment among company data centers and/or refresh hardwarePlan and implement vendor changes to infrastructure and computing environmentSets up and configures moderately complex equipment configurationsMonitors environmental and safety conditions and takes appropriate action in the event of a problem or emergency.Develops and maintains supporting documentation and reports as requiredSupport break/fix situations onsite during off hoursWhat you bring:Typically requires six or more years of experience in the implementation and maintenance of hardware in large critical data center environmentsExperience in rack/stack/cablingExperience in Excel – Asset Management is on ExcelExcellent English verbal and written communication skillsWillingly shares relevant knowledge and expertise to other resourcesWillingness to work outside of standard business hoursWhat you will get:A varied role with interesting new projects and responsibility.A competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
