The Data Developer is responsible for implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining our robust data architecture to support the organization’s data needs. This individual will test the interoperability of data modules under development by in-house software development, commercial off-the-shelf software deployed in the organization, and with external third parties as necessary.MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and implement scalable and efficient data architectures to support business requirements
  • Manage and optimize databases to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Support integration projects and corresponding strategies between business units and development teams
  • Support and implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to move and transform data between systems
  • Ensure that integration projects meet business requirements and strategic goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve data synchronization issues
  • Adhere to standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives
  • Integrate data from various sources to provide a unified and accurate view of the organization’s data
  • Collaborate with teams to understand data integration requirements and implement effective solutions
  • Research and make recommendations on integration products and services in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Collaborate with project resources and stakeholders in the testing of newly integrated software programs and applications
  • Liaise with internal and 3rd party software developers and engineers to address issues with data integrations or bridges
  • Create, maintain, and update comprehensive documentation for data architecture, databases, and data processes to reflect changes and improvements
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot database and data processing performance to resolve issues related to data processing and storage
  • Implement data quality checks and ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address data quality issues
  • Evaluate results of integration projects, report and make recommendations based on findings

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Certified in ITIL Foundations v3/v4, Power BI, Power Platform is preferred
  • 3 to 5 years’ direct experience working with enterprise-level applications and integrated business systems (EAM, ERP, MRP, EGIS, HRIS, timekeeping)
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience with at least two different computing platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, programming languages and communication protocols
  • 3 to 5 years’ proven experience as a Data Developer, Database Developer, or a similar role
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience utilizing Microsoft Cloud environment, PowerBI, Power Platform, and SharePoint Online
  • Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with data governance, data security, compliance and privacy best practices
  • Programming skills in languages like JavaScript, .NET, CSS, AWS, RPG, Perl
  • Experience with Infor Cloudsuite or HxGN EAM
  • Experience with data modeling, API’s and ETL tools
  • Proficiency in reporting and business intelligence tools like SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work on-call up to 25% of the time
  • Valid G driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 25% of the time
