ABOUT OUR DATA STRATEGY 

Data is a core part of the Mony Group strategy. Since 2021, we’ve been on a journey to modernize our underlying infrastructure and related capabilities, As our foundational infrastructure has become more established, we are focusing more on long-term value creation, continuous delivery of enhancements, and iterative development based on user feedback, so that our data products evolve to meet the changing needs of the business. 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are looking for a Data Product Manager, to look after sales data and automation products for Commercial, Marketing and Finance stakeholders; and to support data transformation tools and platform for technical stakeholders. This person will: 

  • Discovery: Translate user problems into initiatives with clear goals and success metrics. 
  • Define: Define product requirements, scope and roadmap using effective prioritisation methods. 
  • Delivery: Coordinate and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, business stakeholders and third party development teams, to manage the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond. 
  • Evaluate: Communicate the product value proposition, benefits and features to drive adoption, while testing and collecting feedback to unlock additional value. 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

The ideal candidate would have: 

  • Proven experience as a data product manager, product owner, or similar role; shaping and shipping a portfolio of products to achieve business outcomes 
  • Solid knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodology and artifacts (definition of done, user story, backlog refinement), can understand when/if they are appropriate, and can coach teams to be more effective and self-organising 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, as well as third party development teams 
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment and to deal with constant changes, balancing short-term requests vs longer-term strategy 
  • Deep knowledge in analytics engineering, cloud engineering, and platform reliability. Experience with affiliate sales very desirable 
  • Ability to query data using SQL to gain insights and inform product decisions.
