Join us at Shift and help transform the insurance industry with AI!At Shift Technology, the Data Science team works on a wide range of subjects and plays a key role in the development of our suite of products, including fraud detection, anti-money laundering, and claim automation. We bring strong technical expertise in data science, data engineering, coding, business understanding, and client interactions. Additionally, we work with diverse data types, such as structured data, free text, documents, and images.This position is ideal if you’re completing your degree and searching for an end-of-studies internship, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position if Shift is the right fit for you!What You’ll DoAs a member of the Data Science team, and working closely with our technical experts, your role will be critical in deploying our solutions for clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and deploying data processing pipelines, such as data reception (batch or real-time), data cleaning, information extraction, and calibration of fraud detection models.
• Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and incorporating their feedback to enhance our solutions.
• Conducting R&D to drive product innovation (machine learning, NLP, image analysis, trend analysis, chatbots, etc.).
• Supporting the sales team by participating in prospect demos.

The Data Science team works on a broad range of subjects. We actively participate in the definition and development of our suite of products on fraud detection, anti-money laundering and claim automation. We have a lot of technical and professional experience in data science, data engineering, coding, business understanding and client interactions. Additionally, we also work on various data types such as structured data, free text, documents and images.This position is for you if you are looking for an end-of-studies internship to complete your degree, and are interested in a permanent position if you think Shift is the right place to start!What you bring

• You have a master’s degree in either Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research (a knowledge in machine learning and/or Big Data is a plus)
• You have experience in object-oriented programming
• You combine strong analysis with synthesis abilities and are not afraid to deal with the details
• You can write quality production code
• You are comfortable dealing with clients
• You can communicate clearly in English
• French is mandatory at a fluent level
