What you will do:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Science and Insights, you will leverage advanced statistics, machine learning, and predictive analytics to drive key business decisions. Your work will focus on three core areas: Recommendation Systems, developing models that predict and recommend content based on guest preferences and viewing behavior; Prediction & Forecasting, using advanced modeling to anticipate trends and classify customers for more accurate decision-making; and Marketing Segmentation, creating models to segment customers by behavior and demographics to enhance targeted marketing and engagement.

 

Responsibilities:

• Clean and prepare data by collecting, preprocessing, and transforming raw data from various sources to enhance model performance.

• Develop and optimize models using techniques like regression, decision trees, and deep learning, tuning hyperparameters to improve accuracy and evaluating performance with key metrics.

• Analyze data and uncover insights by identifying trends, correlations, and patterns using visualization tools like Matplotlib and Seaborn, generating hypotheses to guide business decisions.

• Communicate results effectively by translating complex models into actionable insights and presenting findings in a clear, impactful way to stakeholders.

 

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Mathematics, Analytics, Business Administration, or Engineering and/or a combination of education and relevant experience

• Considerable industry experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role

• Demonstrate proficiency in Python for developing and deploying large-scale machine learning models in cloud environments like Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or AWS SageMaker

• Apply expertise in time series forecasting using techniques such as ARIMA, Prophet, and SARIMAX to predict trends and drive strategic decision-making

• Experience in marketing analytics, including developing and operationalizing models to optimize media planning, maximize return on ad spend (ROAS), and enhance customer engagement and retention

• Strong background in machine learning and statistical modeling, utilizing libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and StatsModels

• Excel in communication and storytelling, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
