Let’s connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the TD32 Parametrics team at our headquarters in Hanover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as a Data Scientist / Meteorologist / Geophysicist Parametric Insurance. 

You can look forward to

• ​Developing and evaluating risk, pricing models, and parametric products for weather, climate, and geophysical risks
• Contributing to process automation and efficiency by optimising tools, and developing scope for automation in underwriting and claims management in close exchange with the global data science community
• Developing new coverage concepts for primary insurance and reinsurance solutions
• Expanding access to weather and climate data
• Analysing, modelling, and pricing existing contracts and new business opportunities worldwide in close collaboration with underwriting teams
• Conducting internal and external training activities in parametric insurance solutions and services
• Collaborating on projects for product development and market cultivation

You come equipped with

• Degree in meteorology, geophysics, hydrology etc. with knowledge of stochastics 
• Initial experience in data analytics, ideally in assessing the risks associated with natural perils or in the field of parametric insurance, obtained through internships or employment as a working student
• Experience of working with geospatial data
• Knowledge of different data science methods
• Knowledge of a higher programming language, R and Python are particularly relevant 
• Proficient user skills in English, knowledge of German and other languages is an asset 
• Willingness to go on occasional business trips worldwide, roughly two to four times a year 
• Opportunity-focused thinking and action as well as your networking skills, extending also to the international contex
