Our analytic solutions bridge content, data, and analytics to help business, people, and society become stronger, more resilient, and sustainable.Job DescriptionExtreme Event Solutions at Verisk (formerly AIR Worldwide Ltd) is looking for a highly passionate, motivated individual to join the Data Services team within the Consulting and Client Services Group in London.As a member of Verisk’s Data Services team based in London, you will provide a first point of contact to our London and international insurance and reinsurance clients. You will be integral in assisting our outsourcing team in Hyderabad, India in the interpretation of risk data for catastrophe modelling. Use your analytical and time management skills, and knowledge of the insurance market, to work with clients to enhance their usage of the Verisk suite of solutions and help manage their deliverables. You will also work closely with the Client Support team in London to provide the highest quality to support to clients and build valuable client relationships.About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role
- Perform Quality Assurance checks on accounts that have been modelled by Verisk in Hyderabad, using Verisk’s latest catastrophe modelling software to quantify risk for perils such as earthquake, flood and hurricane.
- Become an expert in property exposure data for catastrophe modelling and understand how risk characteristics such as occupancy and construction are utilised and understand insurance and reinsurance policy terms. Learn about lines of business such as Property Direct and Facultative, Binders and Specialty risks.
- Develop skills in Verisk’s advanced catastrophe modelling software, in order to be able to engage with clients confidently, and reproduce results modelled in Hyderabad in the event of discrepancies.
- Communicate directly with Data Services clients to develop project timelines and manage deliverable expectations. Engage in regular client communication on the day to day processing of accounts.
- Help clients reliably assess and manage their catastrophe loss potential through interpretation of modelling results – this requires an understanding of natural hazards for which training is provided.
- Produce status reports for clients to monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Assist with onboarding of new clients and maintaining bespoke client data assumptions documentation.
- Liaise with our International offices regarding Data Services related projects, and be influential in the development of current and future processes.
QualificationsAbout You and How You Can Excel in This Role
- Must display excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office is essential, intermediate Excel is preferable.
- Previous experience or knowledge of the Lloyd’s insurance market would be advantageous.
- Keen interest in natural hazards and catastrophe modelling industry.
Education RequirementsA degree in science, engineering or mathematics is preferable.
