The roles will be based in 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf London, E14 4PU or South Mimms, Hertfordshire. Please be aware that these roles can only be worked in the UK and not overseas.Government departments and agencies are working towards implementing a minimum 60% attendance in office sites.We are currently implementing a flexible, hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 8 days per month working on site to enable the collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business. Attendance on site is driven by business needs so depending on the nature of the role, this can flex up to 12 days a month, with the remainder of time worked either remotely or in the office. D&T works in a holistic way to combine digital and technology change, project deliver, business process, product management and cultural change to maximise out impact and ensure sustainability.The Delivery Group function is responsible for providing a Delivery Centre of Excellence to drive an agile approach to technology-based change to deliver minimum viable products (MVP) and continuous improvements and managing all stages of the product development and implementation lifecycle, including business case creation, benefits realisation planning, and management of risks.Job descriptionWhat’s the role?The post holders will be responsible for executing against the functions delivery plan which has one overarching goal – delivering for patients and the public is at the heart of our plan and is a priority for all staff. The Delivery Plan focuses our efforts on strategic goals and underpinning objectives. Scientific innovation, healthcare access and patient safety are our three key business outcomes.The post holder will help shape every part of the service they are responsible for including agile delivery and will join a multidisciplinary agile team combining subject matter experts and work collaboratively with the delivery squad including the product manager, service owner and engineers.Key responsibilities:

  • Support multi-disciplinary agile teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating, and working well
  • Identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them
  • Focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services
  • Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team
  • Line management responsibilities for Associate Delivery Manager(s)

Person specificationOur successful candidates will have:

  • A degree or equivalent relevant experience for the role
  • Agile Delivery foundation level qualification
  • Ability to take a continuous approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, managing uncertainty, metrics and measurements, contingency planning and road-mapping
  • Good experience in project and product delivery and lean agile principles

  • Annual Leave: 25 days annual leave on entry, rising by one day for each completed year of service to a maximum of 30 days and pro-rata for part-time staff. PLUS 8 bank holidays

  • Hours of Work: 37 hours (net) per week for full time staff in all geographical locations, including London and pro rata for part-time staff
