Carat is privileged to work with some of the most eminent companies in the world.We’re hiring for a Digital Director as part of Carat in LondonPurpose of the RoleThe role’s core responsibility involves leading a large media delivery team, overseeing integrated cross channel strategies and delivery roadmaps to successfully achieve your client’s business objectives. You’ll act as the go-to trusted digital advisor for your clients whilst overseeing high quality delivery and excellence in media activation. This requires in depth knowledge of Paid Search, Paid Social and Programmatic media channels and platforms, as well as a breadth of understanding of the wider digital landscape and general marketing principles.Key Responsibilities
- Oversees day to day client management at both an overarching cross-channel level and ensuring activation teams meet the expected standards of client management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, serving as their primary agency contact for media and contributes to account vision
- Escalation point for media team and media delivery
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of client business and manages media capabilities and opportunities to meet client objectives
- Work closely with media vendors to build plans that drive innovation and work in the best interest of your clients
- Leadership of account media team, designing ways of working, RACI and successfully able to delegate within media team
- If required, line management of CS Account Managers and/or CS Executives, accountable for guiding direct report development plans and goals
- Proactively develops and shares thought leadership at the Client Management department and wider agency level
- Contributes to agency pitches, working with media channel representatives to own the recommended media laydown and reflect in pitch narrative
Qualifications + Skills
- 5+ years’ experience in media
- Line management experience
- In-platform account management experience across at least one digital channel – paid search, paid social, digital display, or SEO
- Broader working knowledge of all media channels
- Comfortable steering discussions on relevant topics within the media industry, including but not limited to cross-channel measurement and attribution, digital maturity, use of data within media
- Solution oriented – comfortable in managing challenges within client accounts and line management teams, able to identify problems and proactively design solutions to media challenges
- Ability to pull out insights across channel datasets and highlight key takeaways and recommended actions for senior stakeholders
- An understanding of account commercial terms and scope and implication on media team
