We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our team. This position is critical in managing accounts receivable functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute assigned Accounts Receivable (A/R) invoices for company agents and dealers through the administration system.
- Monitor A/R aging reports to identify delinquencies and address seller setups as needed.
- Report on and actively collect delinquent accounts, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to resolve outstanding balances.
- Serve as a backup for daily balancing of A/R and deposit suspense accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurate and reconciled.
- Clear underwriting exceptions by coordinating with responsible parties to ensure timely resolution.
- Review daily deposits, verifying checks are applied correctly to appropriate accounts, and resolve discrepancies between dealer/agent remittances and system records.
- Oversee the mailing and payment of cancellation statements, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Identify and initiate dealer refunds due for payment and handle cancellation requests exceeding specified thresholds.
- Manage the administrative email account, responding promptly to customer, seller, or agent requests, including early claim inquiries.
- Write, review, and maintain policies and procedures for the Administration department, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Protect and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams.
- High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness in managing complex financial data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to quickly adapt to new software or systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, with demonstrated success in A/R processes and collections.
- Familiarity with administrative systems and financial reconciliation processes.
- Experience with financial reporting and maintaining compliance with company policies
