We strive to foster an environment that is inspiring, supportive and diverse.The successful candidate will join our Human Health Ethics and Compliance team, helping to advance the goal of the Ethics and Compliance Organization (ECO) to be a “partner in doing the right thing – all the time.”The Commercial Compliance Officer (CCO) will join the Commercial Compliance Team and will be responsible for end-to-end marketing and commercial field compliance support in one or more assigned therapeutic areas. The CCO will pro-actively support client teams in the effective execution of business practices by partnering with them in setting and consulting on policies, promoting compliant behaviors, raising issues, and supporting corrective action.Primary Responsibilities:End-to-end compliance support to Marketing and Commercial Field personnel (US Market and Global Marketing)Member of Franchise Marketing and Sales teamsCompliance support for activities required for marketing execution, e.g. medical education, congress activities, and commercial operationsProduct Compliance Assessment leadLaunch supportOversight and Monitoring planning and supportManagement Certifications and Communications TrackerAudit SupportDrafting/Revision/Simplification of HH Ethics and Compliance PoliciesBusiness Leadership Team support as assignedCross functional team support as assignedUnderstanding the business needs, strategic objectives, and operational practices of the client organizations (US Marketing and Commercial Field Teams, Global Marketing)Having – and being recognized for having – deep subject matter expertise in the relevant guidance, policies, codes, and regulations, as well as in their applications to the business.Applying this expertise in advising and counseling clients on new issues, answering routine questions regarding policy, and assisting in the assessment and implementation of new activitiesMaintaining full line-of-sight (from strategic intent through tactical execution) when supporting line management in the development of new or refined guidance to ensure that they are relevant, appropriate, and implementable. Steps include gathering input, authoring, circulating drafts, gaining necessary approvals, developing communications plans, and integrating the guidance into new or existing training.Developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the client organizations, business partner areas, and throughout the Ethics & Compliance Organization.Utilizing brand knowledge, reviews materials as part of the Promotional Review TeamEducation Minimum Requirements:BA/BS required; advanced degree in business, marketing, law, or public policy preferredRequired Experience and Skills:High degree of ethics and integrity10+ years business experience (5+ years pharmaceutical industry preferred)Self-motivated and pro-active approach to work planningFamiliarity with Sales or Marketing organizations and activitiesExperience with the development or execution of written policies, guidance, laws, rules or regulations or other significant drafting or writing experienceTraining or presentation experience in individual or group situationsExperience/comfort working with senior managers, Office of General Counsel and external regulatory agenciesAbility to influence and exercise good judgmentAbility to apply knowledge to real world situationsAbility to translate and communicate complex concepts clearlyStrong judgment demonstrated by disciplined decision-making skills incompliance related topics and founded on strong ethical valuesStrong written and oral communications skillsPreferred Experience and Skills:Advanced knowledge and understanding of laws, regulations, and policies guiding the conduct of business practices within Human Health and the pharmaceutical industryOur Support Functions deliver services and makes recommendations about ways to enhance our workplace and the experience of working at our organization.
