Director, Systems and Innovation PMOJob PurposeThe Director, Systems and Innovation PMO, should possess a digital mindset, understand the Regulatory Operations landscape and have a successful track record of delivering IT and Business Transformation programs. This role will be is accountable for ensuring the Leadership Teams have oversight of the multiple programs of work ongoing as well as the demand for new work. They will provide leadership, guidance and direction to the Reg Systems and Innovation team and ensure project management best practises are implemented effectively.Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain project/program management standards, processes and methodologies to drive consistency, efficiency and quality in project delivery across Regulatory Systems and Innovation team
  • Proactively partner with GRO Leadership Team and Tech functions to ensure alignment and visibility. Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Regulatory Systems and Innovations teams as well as key stakeholder groups such as the wider GRA team, other R&D teams, R&D Tech and Manufacturing organisations
  • Responsible for vendor relationship management, including negotiation of new initiatives, delivery and oversight of committed work, influencing strategic roadmap decisions, managing budgets and holding the vendor to account
  • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks to ensure alignment with business objectives, drive decision making and facilitate the resolution of risks.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Product managers/owners and teams to drive successful project delivery. Where required, mentor and develop staff to build a high-performing team
  • Develop realistic roadmaps/plans with agreed deliverables, ensuring alignment across systems, data, process and people.
  • Responsible for ensuring the appropriate resource discussions take place to enable the teams to effectively & efficiently execute against agreed milestones.
  • Oversee the progress of projects/programmes with respect to time, scope, budget, risk, quality and compliance, holding LT members and teams to account to ensure execution in accordance with the plan
  • Establish key metrics and KPIs for evaluation of program performance and conduct collaborative retrospectives as needed. Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and manage processes for intake and prioritization of new work, ensuring value realization.
  • Define programme objectives and key deliverables in alignment with GSK strategy and goals. Develop business/value cases to drive new investment opportunities.
  • Manage PMO budgets, financial forecasts and resource allocation to optimise efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Facilitates impact assessment and partners with Process, Data and Business Change teams as needed to ensure seamless delivery into the business with minimal disruption to end users and business operations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant GSK regulations, policies and standards. Partner with GSK Quality teams to ensure compliance. If needed, represent Regulatory Systems and Innovation team in inspections/audits

Why you?Basic Qualifications:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Experience of delivering large scale, complex IT and Business Transformation programs (System, Data, Process, People), working with different methodologies as needed
  • Knowledge and experience of life sciences/pharmaceuticals and regulatory systems including the validation requirements associated with GxP systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Prior leadership experience with demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing teams
  • Experience mitigating risk associated with third party vendors
  • Deep knowledge and experience of project management tools (E.g. Smartsheet, MS Project). Holds Project Management or Scaled Agile certifications (e.g., PRINCE, PO/PM)

  • Proven aptitude for defining realistic and achievable plans to manage multiple programs of work with an awareness of prioritization and impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to think flexibly and innovatively to meet constantly shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Proven ability to take an organized and methodical approach to problem solving/trouble shooting
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to deliver high quality output, even under pressure.
