Director, System PerformanceFull-Time, Permanent (Benefitted)London, Ontario– Application Deadline: December 12, 2024 –The Director of System Performance is responsible for creating and shaping the organizational infrastructure that supports the effective execution of systems and initiatives related to organizational performance, quality, business intelligence, decision support, data management, and reporting. This role is integral to driving the achievement of the organization’s strategic objectives and ensuring that high-quality addiction and mental health services are delivered efficiently and effectively. The Director will contribute to the design of the organization’s data infrastructure, work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of systems, and provide the foundational support needed for the quality and performance management functions carried out by the System Performance team.Consider revitalizing your career and making a difference in your community by joining our team!WHAT WE’RE OFFERING:
- What you’ll be making – $52.28-$57.45 per hour
- When you’ll work – 70 hours over two-week period; Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE:Strategic Architecture & Design:
- Construct the strategic framework for the System Performance department, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and overall strategic goals.
- Design the infrastructure that underpins organizational performance, quality improvement, and data management, ensuring that all systems and processes are integrated and aligned with strategic goals.
- Identify and develop key performance initiatives, ensuring that the necessary infrastructure is in place to support these initiatives.
Organizational Performance Management Infrastructure:
- Create the performance measurement frameworks, reporting systems, and data integration structures that support evidence-based decision-making across the organization.
- Develop strategies to enhance organizational performance, including the structures needed for target setting, benchmarking, and performance feedback systems.
- Ensure that performance management systems are built to support the work of the System Performance team, providing the necessary tools and infrastructure.
Quality Management and Improvement Systems:
- Contribute to the design and development of the quality management system, ensuring that it supports compliance with accreditation standards and best practices.
- Build the organizational infrastructure that enables effective quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that systems and processes are in place to support continuous improvement.
- Develop the systems that allow the System Performance Team to implement quality improvement projects effectively.
Data Management and Business Intelligence:
- Contribute to the design of the organization’s data infrastructure, including business intelligence tools, electronic health records, and reporting systems, ensuring they meet the organization’s strategic needs.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Systems department to ensure that data management practices are designed to meet the organization’s needs for accuracy, reliability, and accessibility.
- Establish the data structures that enhance the organization’s data literacy and support data-driven decision-making.
System Integration and Development:
- Build and integrate performance management, quality improvement, and data management processes across the organization, ensuring a cohesive and aligned system.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Corporate Systems and People Services, to ensure that the systems designed are aligned with organizational goals and support the work of all teams.
- Ensure that the System Performance infrastructure aligns with provincial standards, international health quality standards, and the Quintuple Aim framework.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Provide the structural support needed to communicate the organization’s quality and performance goals, ensuring that all systems are in place to facilitate stakeholder engagement.
- Develop effective communication and reporting systems that allow for transparency and accountability in the organization’s performance initiatives.
- Support the preparation and presentation of reports to the executive team and board on the status of system performance initiatives, focusing on the infrastructure achievements and areas for improvement.
Policy and Procedure Development:
- Lead the creation and implementation of policies and procedures related to system performance architecture, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly review and update policies to ensure that they reflect the latest developments and organizational priorities.
Infrastructure Development and Team Support:
- Provide the necessary guidance to the System Performance team, ensuring that they have the tools and resources needed to succeed.
- Build and maintain the infrastructure that supports the work of the System Performance team, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach.
- Provide mentoring, education, and training to ensure staff have the right skills to help further the organization’s mission and the success of the System Performance team.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate relevant agency information, obtain staff input and feedback, plan and evaluate systems.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Extended Leadership Team (XLT) to develop new initiatives that will support the strategic direction of the organization.
- When required, represent the SLT at Board of Directors meetings and provides input on agency objectives.
- Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization’s and that emphasizes the identified mission, vision and values of the organization.
- Recruit, interview, hire, terminate staff and conduct performance management activities in alignment with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and with the People Services department as required.
- Work closely with the People Services department to evaluate performance, set appropriate performance standards that align with appropriate key performance indicators to track team member and program performance.
- Support, mentor and coach future leaders to successfully fulfil their roles.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY:Police Vulnerable Sector Check RequirementsSuccessful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last six months. Interested applicants who reside in the City of London and are in need of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) are encouraged to apply for one as soon as possible as PVSCs in the City of London are currently taking approximately 2 weeks to be processed and offers of employment cannot be made without receipt of a PVSC.We require the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Health Administration, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Primary proof of credentials will be required during the hiring process, i.e. an original degree/diploma or official transcript)
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in healthcare management, with a focus on performance management, quality improvement, and data management.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance adequate for carrying out requirements of the role
- Clear, current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
- Demonstrated ability to attend work regularly
We prefer the following qualifications:
- Certification in Quality Improvement, Lean Six Sigma, or a similar methodology
- Certified in Health Information Management (CHIM) or other relevant professional designation
- Proven track record of developing successful quality and performance systems within a healthcare or mental health setting.
- Experience in a senior leadership role, with responsibility for strategic planning, system design, and stakeholder engagement.
- Deep understanding of performance measurement, quality improvement methodologies, and data management practices within the healthcare sector.
- Knowledge of provincial healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and international health quality frameworks, including the Quintuple Aim.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools, electronic health records, and data analytics.
- Strong strategic thinking and system design skills, with the ability to develop complex initiatives that drive organizational improvement.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and support team members effectively.
- Proficiency in using quality management and data analysis tools, with a focus on creating infrastructure that drives actionable insights and improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that goals are met on time and within budget.
