Job DescriptionDirector, US Oncology Strategic Planning and Portfolio Optimization is a high impact, high visibility role that leads and inspires how US Oncology responds to changing market dynamics through portfolio optimization, investment prioritization, and business process enhancements.This leader will work across multiple stakeholders including Human Health Digital Data & Analytics (HHDDA), Strategy & Commercial Operations (S&CO), Finance, Brand Marketing and Agile Digital Teams, and in close collaboration with US Oncology Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) and US Oncology Leadership Team (OLT) to advise and provide data-driven recommendations to shape strategic decisions, ensuring long-term organizational success.The role involves leading, motivating, and inspiring an organization by setting a clear and compelling vision, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, and providing coaching and feedback to enhance performance and development.Primary Responsibilities:Lead and continuously evolve processes to enable portfolio optimization and related investment prioritization and planning for the future needs of the US Oncology OrganizationLead long-term portfolio strategy to design a ‘future-ready’ state in US Oncology responsive to customer needs and adaptable to a changing market landscape, while considering shifting internal dynamics, including:Develop an operating model that optimizes capacity and enables an evolving portfolio in partnership with key stakeholders across the organization.Lead the Investment Planning process for US Oncology (e.g., Forecast Cycle Planning, DOMINO, Marketing Mix Modeling). Ensure evolution in line with business demands and market landscape. Work in close partnership with Finance and Digital Data Analytics teams.Lead US Oncology portfolio prioritization strategy and execution (e.g., Tumor Prioritization, N=1)Lead and appropriately evolve US Oncology portfolio operations and agile business review management (Oncology BU TBR process, L3Next, Launch Intelligence Tool)Partner across Oncology, enterprise, HHDDA and S&CO to support the identification of new capabilities and improvement of existing processes and capabilities that enable business agility and optimization.Identify and lead projects to optimize business processes and enhance business impact within the Oncology BUIdentified opportunities for automation and digitalization of key business processes, resulting in enhanced data-driven decision-making and improved operational agility within the Oncology Business Unit.Foster cross-functional collaboration to resolve process inefficiencies and continuously challenge the status quo.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (Master’s / MBA preferred)Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical business experience, including strategic planning, transformation, investment optimization, change management or related functions.Deep knowledge in financial forecasting, ROI expense planning, and strategic planning to enable the overall business.Deep knowledge of effective transformation and change management principles and practices.Experience with process improvement, organization design and investment optimizationExperience navigating large, complex, multi-functional organizations.Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to analyze and present complex data clearly to executive-level audiences.Strong people leadership skills.
